Accessibility statement
Last reviewed 25 October 2026.
We aim for Research Trail to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across the site and the app.
What we do
- Everything works with a keyboard alone, and focus is always clearly visible.
- Every form field has a label, and messages are announced to screen readers.
- Text and controls meet AA colour contrast. Nothing relies on colour alone: every result has words too.
- No time limits, no flashing, and animation is switched off if your device asks for reduced motion.
- Pages work zoomed to 400% and on small screens without scrolling sideways.
- Reports come as Word documents with real headings and tables, which work well with screen readers, as well as PDFs.
- Automated accessibility checks (axe-core) run against every page and the main app screens on every change, and a failure stops the release.
Known limits
- The PDFs are text-based and searchable, but they aren’t yet fully tagged for screen readers. Use the Word version of any report for the most accessible copy.
Tell us about a problem
If something doesn’t work for you, email admin@onibaku.co.uk. Tell us what you were trying to do and what you use (screen reader, magnifier, switch, voice control). We aim to reply within five working days.
